When you have prayed the same prayer for years

Psalm 27:14

Wait for the Lord with courage and a strengthened heart.

When you have prayed the same prayer for years. It is easy to sound spiritual until this is the thing sitting in front of you. Sometimes the breakthrough is not a dramatic change in circumstances. Sometimes it is catching the old pattern before you obey it again. Waiting is not proof that God has forgotten you. Jesus Christ is present in the part of the story that has no visible movement yet. Let truth interrupt the reflex before the reflex becomes another chapter.

What are you trying to control because you are afraid to trust God with the outcome?

Lord Jesus Christ, I bring You the part I can explain and the part I cannot. Keep me from reacting out of fear, shame, pride, or loneliness. Teach me to move with You. Amen.
